What Users think about Lego the Store

One of my favorite stores. Not only do they have a complete selection of Lego Kits but they have all the hard to find kits, pick a brick and grab bags for $7.99. The staff is friendly and helpful and they e-mail me when new kits come in and when they put out new grab bags.

I love this store!

5 stars I don't know. Maybe it deserves a 4 stars.
Well They do have alot of legos. Old and New.

They have that Monitor that lets toys come alive in your hands. That is pretty cool.
They do have that wall of legos you can just take parts for things you need.
They do have little exhibits encased in glass all over the place.
They do hold events.

Ok fine fine i'll give them 5 stars.
I'll do it for the kid in me.

Remember how cool LEGOs used to be? I do. You could build shit with them all day, then throw them at an unwieldy sibling, then sneak a few into the corner when you inevitably got in trouble for using them as weapons.

Ah, memories.

The thing you don't remember about LEGOs--the evil dark truth your parents forgot to tell you, if you will--is that they are super expensive for no reason other than the fact that kids think they're cool.

The LEGO store of Glendale exploits this fact to the "max," as us cool kids like to say; it is filled with brightly colored LEGO displays, LEGO-built machines, life-sized LEGO figures, "Special Edition" LEGO sets, and all sorts of other LEGO-related goods, arranged into dioramas and set neatly into the walls; buckets of regular LEGOs and children litter the carpet, unaware as to how much their parents are about to pay for a few dozen chunks of colored plastic.

If they are that expensive, why the four stars? The man who invented LEGOs, one Ole Kirk Christiansen, is a Christiansen and thusly gets four stars in and of himself*, end of story **.

So, four stars!

*Look up. You see the "C" in "Elizabeth C."? No? Perhaps you need reading glasses, then. Carry on.

**Logic and reason have no place in a yelp review. Shame on you for even thinking that my star system ought to make sense.

I love legos {notice I didn't say it in past tense} I haven't had a set in awhile but when I'm in the mall I always find myself passing it bc I secretly want to see what's the new thing they have. The store is fairly bright and really hard to miss.

My son has always loved his LEGOs, especially his "Lego guys".
In fact, this location was the scene of the crime when my son was about 2 and a half, and he stole a "guy" from this Lego store. He put it in his pocket. I didn't know about it until we were driving home, and he showed me, quite happily, his "guy". Oh. Hmm? What?!  So I drove him back to the store and made him fess up. Those were the days of headless Lego men. His then daycare removed the heads of these poor little Lego men, as they were more concerned about the kids swallowing those little yellow plastic heads. I had teams of headless Lego "guys" in my house, and it was becoming a bit like "Dawn of the Legomen".

Now, 7 years later, he still LOVES Legos, Star Wars in particular, and "Lego guys". (He didn't like the face on Count Dooku, however). You can make you own "Mini" and "Pick a Brick" too.

This store is GREAT; and we will always love our Lego guys. Heads on.

The lego store is great.  We never miss an opportunity to go.  The kids always find that one lego they have been hunting.  Sometimes there are special events on the weekends so make sure you check for them.

I visit the Lego Store every time I'm in the Glendale Galleria (though usually alone, because Sam feels too silly going inside).  It pretty much rocks.  The store has just about any Lego set you could want.  And, a lot of the time there is some sort of deal going on.  Over Christmas, I got a free "pick a brick" box to fill up after spending $75.
The last time I was there, a kid's birthday party was going on.  It looked awesome.  I would have totally loved that as a kid.  In fact, I'm thinking about having my next one there anyway: Happy 24th Birthday to Me!

Anyone else with a fondness for Lego, the toy building blocks that helped put Denmark on the map.

Dig this. The Glendale Galleria has a whole store devoted to Lego, and everything a blockhead could want -- and sometimes not -- is in this shop.

Appropriately enough, Lego is next door to Apple's own store, and both are corporate-owned and help build their respective brands.

The building sets are comprehensive, as all current sets and themes are available. It's amazing to see how dumbed-down Lego has become over the years. A generation ago, a big set such as a castle would come with over 500 pieces and could take nearly a day to complete. Now, they are less than 200 pieces and are even more expensive. The Star Wars sets look like they are practically assembled as they fall out of the box.

Beyond sets, the store carries the popular Lego computer and console games, apparel and even tchochkes such as pens and Lego men keychains.

Best of all, as any blockhead could attest to, the back of the store has loose bricks for sale. Loose bricks! All sorts of shapes, colors and in both talls and flats.

Transit access: Metro Rapid 780, and Local lines 92, 180/181, 183, 201 and 603; and Glendale Beeline lines 1-6 and Brand Boulevard Metrolink Express shuttle.
